{"id":59149,"date":"2021-07-22T14:23:08","date_gmt":"2021-07-22T14:23:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/insideracing.com\/wordpress_X\/index.php\/2021\/07\/22\/world-rx-of-germany-postponed-as-nurburgring-assists-disaster-relief-effort\/"},"modified":"2021-07-22T14:23:08","modified_gmt":"2021-07-22T14:23:08","slug":"world-rx-of-germany-postponed-as-nurburgring-assists-disaster-relief-effort","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/insideracing.com\/world-rx-of-germany-postponed-as-nurburgring-assists-disaster-relief-effort\/","title":{"rendered":"World RX of Germany postponed as Nurburgring assists disaster relief effort"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Rallycross confirmed today that World RX of Germany at the Nurburgring \u2013 scheduled&nbsp;to be the second and third rounds of the 2021 World Rallycross Championship \u2013 will be postponed to the end of the season due to the ongoing effects of the widespread recent flooding in the region.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The World Championship campaign will get underway in Barcelona this weekend, and the N\u00fcrburgring \u2013 a new addition to the series\u2019 calendar \u2013 had been due to welcome the headlining World RX battle and all-electric FIA RX2e Championship a week later, on 31 July &#8211; 1 August.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The wide-ranging recent floods in Germany have forced the postponement of the event, with the N\u00fcrburgring having become a&nbsp;focal point of the rescue and recovery efforts&nbsp;as a collection and distribution centre. The rescheduled&nbsp;double-header will now act as the 2021 season finale over the weekend of 27-28 November.
